Fastest ISP Verizon
The original large scale fiber-to-the-home ISP still offers very high speed tiers, up to 500Mbps. But it didn't win many metro areas in our tests for two reasons. First, its major advantage is on uploads, which don't factor into our Speedtest.net score. Second, its high tiers can be astronomically expensive, preventing many home users from signing up. It's still a terrific service for content creators and gamers.

Fastest Mobile Network Verizon Wireless
Verizon Wireless is America's LTE network king. An excellent nationwide buildout, broad swathes of 1700Mhz "XLTE" spectrum, and broad support for that spectrum across its phones meant that Verizon won more of our tested metro areas than any other.
